A little bit of a self serving post, yes. But I just bought the Carenado Mooney M20J. So far, it's the best I've ever flown for X-Plane. Nothing is 2D in the panel.
I've already whipped up three liveries for her:
Download them here:

As for the Mooney, I can't say enough about it. Carenado really knows what they are doing. I've bought thirty-five dollar planes from "renown" X-Plane developers that didn't even come close to this.
I will have a full review of her soon.

X-Plane and OS X Lion
Many of you X-Plane flyers have probably been waiting on upgrading to OS X Lion. Being the apple geek that I am, I had to do it immediately. I had some crashes at first, but then determined that they weren't because of Lion.
So how is Lion? I like it. It has some nice iOS features, but they haven't overdone it with the iOS look. It still is definitely OS X. You will find that you will never use LaunchPad but Mission Control is amazing and very helpful.
As for X-Plane performance, I'm not noticing any difference. everything is running smoothly.

My New Computer
A couple days ago, I got a new computer. Here's the specs:
iMac 27"
2560 x 1440 Display
2.8 GHz Intel Core i5 Quad Core with Turbo Boost
4 GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 5750, 1GB VRAM
1 TB Hard Drive
She is a beast! Have you ever flown X-Plane with extremely high rendering options on a 27" screen? You feel like you're there. The first time I powered up X-Plane with my old rendering options, I was getting 200+ fps.
So what does this mean for you? I will be able to buy the newest, most detailed planes now and review them for you. No longer will I be reviewing boring freeware GA singles... 3D cockpits here I come!
So watch out for some reviews readers!

X-Plane Chat is Back!
I would like to take this opportunity to apologize for the unexplained absence of X-Plane Chat lately. Life here has been crazy lately and has taken precedent over x-plane writing. I am back on track now and i will be writing more and more for x-plane chat over the coming weeks and months.
So buckle up!
